At the moment, I am teaching a negotiation course to MBA students, who are attending an English University in Thessaloniki. Apart from the strategies, methods and theories concerning negotiation matters I focus mainly on issues based on developing skills that only an experienced negotiator attains.

I refer to conscious intelligence, patience, personality and knowledge in relation to the method of negotiation. Although all students agree that all these skills need to be developed no one can actually tell me how this can be done and what are their weaknesses and talents.

The different personalities, insecurity, the lack of self confidence and self-monitoring are essential aspects which result not only to the negotiation but to the success of an individual. Negotiation is part of our every day life whether we realise it or not. We negotiate with ourselves, when we need to change our habits or even more essential things. What we do in order to become better negotiators with ourselves?
