In today’s highly complex societies, intuition, intellect and talent are important attributes, yet often not enough. Leaders also need devices and techniques to minimize turmoil and establish the right balances within an organisation. There may be times when they are required to act against their instinct, delegate and share authority, listen to the group’s suggestions or act according to their own insight. In highly insecure times, leaders must be insightful, able to embrace complexity and paradox and willing to change leadership styles rapidly if the circumstances call for it
